CURRENT STATE OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE CREATIVE POTENTIAL OF FUTURE ARTISTS OF DECORATIVE AND APPLIED ART

Abstract

The publication highlights the current state of development of creative potential of future artists of arts and crafts in the process of studying professional disciplines in institutions of higher education. On the basis of using the methods of questioning, generalization, systematization, comparison, analysis of completed educational and educational-creative works of students of the 1st year, the results of the study of the current state of development of creative potential of future artists of decorative and applied art in the Kyiv State Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts named after Mikhail Boychuk are highlighted . In order to obtain objective survey information, we considered and compared the opinion of future artists of applied arts with the opinion of experts. As experts were involved 17 teachers of professional disciplines, who are professional artists, members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, with honorary titles of Honored and Folk Artists, Artists of Ukraine. The comparison of the obtained information makes it possible to conclude that the opinion of the future artists of arts and crafts regarding their level of development of creative potential is somewhat overstated. Experts emphasize that students do not have the necessary professional professional and artistic knowledge, skills, do not have sufficient artistic and creative motivation and creative activity. The conducted research on the analysis of the current state of development of creative potential of future artists of arts and crafts shows its low level, which influences the decline of professional educational and creative activity in higher education.
